1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for an account and using ExpenseFlow AI ("the Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not create an account or use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
2. What the Service Does
ExpenseFlow AI is a personal finance tracking application that lets you:
- Record, categorise, and review income and expense transactions.
- Add transactions via the web app or through a connected Telegram bot using natural language.
- View spending analytics broken down by category, date range, and transaction type.
- Receive AI-generated spending summaries powered by a large language model (LLM) such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, or a self-hosted Ollama instance.
- Set monthly budget limits per category and track progress against them.
- Work with multiple currencies — you choose a base currency and a separate display currency for conversions.
The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.
3. Account Registration
- You must register with a valid email address. A one-time password (OTP) is sent to verify your address before the account is activated.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. We will never ask for your password via email or Telegram.
- If you connect the Telegram bot, your Telegram user ID is linked to your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- One person may not hold more than one active account.
- Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Telegram Bot Integration
By connecting your Telegram account:
- Messages you send to the bot are processed by our backend and may be passed to the configured LLM provider to extract transaction details from natural language.
- The bot is access-controlled — only whitelisted Telegram user IDs can interact with it.
- Do not send sensitive credentials, payment card numbers, or personal data beyond what is needed to log a transaction.
- We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Telegram Messenger. Your use of Telegram is subject to Telegram's own Terms of Service.
5. AI-Powered Features
You acknowledge that:
- AI-extracted transaction data (amounts, categories, merchants) may occasionally be inaccurate. Always review and correct entries as needed.
- AI-generated spending summaries and insights are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
- You should consult a qualified financial professional before making any significant financial decisions.
6. Multi-Currency and Exchange Rates
Exchange rates are indicative only. We do not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of any rate displayed, and converted amounts should not be used for official financial or tax reporting purposes.
7. User Responsibilities
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or another user's data.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Use automated scripts, bots (other than the official Telegram bot), or crawlers to interact with the Service.
- Submit false or misleading information or impersonate another person.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or availability of the Service.
8. Data Accuracy and Your Responsibility
The accuracy of your financial records depends entirely on the data you enter. We are not responsible for errors in your transaction records, budget calculations, or spending summaries that result from incorrect or incomplete data input.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service are the property of ExpenseFlow AI and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal purposes only.
10. Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate any of these Terms, if your account has been inactive for an extended period, or if we have reason to believe your account is being used fraudulently. You may delete your own account at any time from account settings. Upon deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ExpenseFlow AI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service. We provide the Service "as is" without warranties of any kind.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts of competent authority.
